Hi! Welcome to my blog. Here you will find the ramblings of a gal who loves life, her husband, her children, running, teaching, sipping wine with a girlfriend, and helping others.

Life is too short not to say what you need to say, do what your heart desires, and make someone smile everyday.

Komen 3 Day - 60 Miles.... in the bag

WOW!  I can hardly believe that we did it!  We've been training since April and I seriously had my doubts that we could actually cross that 60 mile finish line!  There were so many 4 a.m. training walks that were just plain painful to get up for.  My team leader, best friend, motivator and occasional pain in the ass, Denise Little was amazing.  You would think that after spending 6 months of walking together that we would get sick of talking to each other.  But that didn't happen.  For me, the most incredible and moving part of the whole 3 day experience was the cheering and smiling faces all along the route. Total strangers encouraging us to keep going -  keep putting one foot in front of the other.  We had water stations, snack and candy stations and an occasional "adult beverage" secret station.  I could not have done it without my family and friends.  It is an experience I will never forget.  As for the survivors and my friends who are battling breast cancer at this time, I am so humbled by your courage and your fight to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
